OAXACA, Oax., July 19 (EL UNIVERSAL).- A tourist of approximately 40 years old was murdered this Tuesday afternoon in the Historic Center of Oaxaca.
The man was identified as José Ortiz Girón, public notary 113 of the State of Mexico based in Nezahualcóyotl. He was walking through García Vigil and Porfirio Díaz streets with a companion when he was attacked by two individuals, who attacked him with a knife in the back.
According to the first police reports, it was a direct attack, since the two subjects immediately addressed the victim, in addition, the security elements confirmed that the man kept his belongings, for which personal reasons are presumed.
After the attack, a police operation began in the first square of the city of Oaxaca, which is currently experiencing its period of maximum tourist influx due to the Guelaguetza festivities.
