The Government of Oaxaca announced its tourism promotion activities under the strategy “Oaxaca, the Cultural Home of the World Cup,” in the context of the world’s largest football tournament.
As part of this initiative, sculptures bearing the World Cup tourism brand will be installed at the airports of Oaxaca, Huatulco, and Puerto Escondido; in the Cho Ndobá Spring Park in Oaxaca City, in the Historic Center of the state capital; and at Mexico City International Airport (AICM).
Additionally, a promotional booth will be set up at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), and advertising will be displayed on Volaris and Viva Airlines aircraft, reaching an estimated 5.2 million passengers per month. Tourism offerings will also be showcased on digital screens at AICM and the airports of Guadalajara and Monterrey.
From June 12 to 30, Casa Oaxaca will take place in Guadalajara, promoting Oaxaca’s gastronomy, crafts, and tourism.
In the United States, there will be a presence at Casa México Los Angeles from June 11 to July 19, and at Ventana a México in San Diego, California, from June 13 to July 19.
These activities are complemented by official broadcasts of various matches in the Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) of Capulálpam de Méndez and Mazunte, from June 11 to July 19.
