Authorities in Oaxaca announced a new app called “TaxSí” that will allow people to request taxis throughout the state. According to official information, the app will begin its testing phase on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Yesenia Nolasco Ramírez, head of the Oaxaca Ministry of Mobility, announced the creation of the new app, “TaxSí,” for requesting taxis in the state.
According to the official, the app will begin its pre-operational implementation on June 10. Subsequently, on June 25, tablets will be installed in 100 taxis, and finally, on August 25, the app will be launched.
“This measure will allow for greater transparency in fare collection through digital tools that will provide users with greater certainty regarding the cost of their trips,” Oaxaca authorities stated.
How will the Oaxaca taxi app work?
The Oaxaca Ministry of Mobility explained that, through this new taxi app, users will be able to request a taxi within the state, which will be assigned based on proximity. They also assured that it will feature pre-quoted fares.
They further explained that “TaxSí” will allow users to view fares in real time and indicated that it “will offer greater security for users, modernize the service, strengthen competitiveness, and restore public trust in the taxi sector.”
