Members of Section 22 of the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) are blocking the main access points to the Oaxaca International Airport, as well as the facilities of the Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) storage plant in the state.

On the second day of their indefinite work stoppage, starting at 9:00 a.m., groups of teachers proceeded to close the entrances and exits to vehicles and pedestrians.

Half an hour later, the protesters began setting up a camp with tarpaulins, makeshift shelters, and tents, reinforcing the blockade of the airport facilities.

The protest caused disruptions for dozens of travelers and workers who were stranded.

Due to the perimeter closure, passengers were forced to navigate long lines and seek alternative routes, mainly through the El Tequio Forest area, carrying their luggage on foot to try to reach the terminal.

Despite severe logistical delays and heavy traffic congestion in the surrounding areas, airport authorities preliminarily reported no flight cancellations, although operations continued to experience constant delays due to a lack of clear information regarding evacuation routes for passengers.

Simultaneously, another group of Oaxacan teachers mobilized toward the Pemex supply and distribution plant located in the municipality of Santa María del Tule, where they set up roadblocks to prevent the flow of heavy cargo trucks and local vehicles.
