During October, Oaxacans will be able to travel free of charge on the new BinniBus “Ladxidó” route, a route that connects the heart of the city with Tlalixtac de Cabrera and seeks to promote inclusive mobility.

The Government of Oaxaca surprised citizens with a new public transportation option: the RA-03 “Ladxidó” route of the BinniBus Metropolitan Collective Transportation System. This route will allow users to travel free of charge on certain routes during October as part of its launch period.

This new route, whose name means “heart” in Zapotec, connects the Parque del Amor in Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán with Cecyteo Campus 1 in Tlalixtac de Cabrera, strengthening mobility between the east and center of the Oaxacan capital.

The “Ladxidó” route has 49 authorized stops and operates Monday through Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It crosses strategic points such as Crucero de Cinco Señores, Eduardo Vasconcelos Boulevard, Macroplaza, the Benito Juárez Monument, and the Ixtlán highway, making it an ideal alternative for those who work or study in the area.

The general director of BinniBus, Karina Gómez Esteban, emphasized that this new route will reduce travel times and improve accessibility, especially for students, seniors, and people with disabilities. For the latter, the service will be completely free, while other passengers will pay a standard fare of 8 pesos, or 4 pesos with a valid student ID or INAPAM card.

The “Ladxidó” route is part of the state’s plan to modernize the BinniBus network, which recently reorganized six routes and incorporated more units with ramps and video surveillance, in order to offer a safe, efficient, and inclusive service.

Furthermore, this launch is complemented by the new RC-12 “Ñunda” route, which connects Tlalixtac de Cabrera with Yuroo Parque del Amor, improving the connection with the RT-01 Kayaal trunk route. With these actions, the Oaxacan Spring Government reaffirms its commitment to bringing public transportation to all communities and promoting a more dignified and sustainable system for Oaxaca.
