Mexico is a seismic territory, so earthquakes of varying intensities are constantly being recorded, which can even activate the Mexican Seismic Alert System (Sasmex). Here at TELEDIARIO, we present an update on the latest tremors recorded in Mexico.
The National Seismological Service (SSN) reports earthquakes recorded in Mexico, regardless of intensity, as part of a monitoring program designed to inform about seismic activity.
Earthquakes are detected through a network of stations distributed throughout the country; however, they are primarily located on the coasts of the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the neovolcanic axis.
