OAXACA, Oax. January 4, 2021.- The Oaxaca Health Services (SSO) reported 137 new infections in 42 municipalities, which implies an increase in infections in the last 24 hours.
Until this Tuesday, January 4, the agency reported 68 beds occupied by Covid patients, which represents a 16% increase in hospital occupancy.
Deaths reached 5,660 this Tuesday, with one more death reported in the last hours.
According to the epidemiological panorama, there are 314 active infections in 60 municipalities of Oaxaca.
In addition, 5,876 people suspect the contagion.
Central Valleys continues to be the region with the highest incidence of disease caused by the SarS-CoV-2 virus and its various variants.
The Sierra Norte continues to be the region with the least contagion.
This Tuesday, in Oaxaca de Juárez there were 52 new infections, 13 in Xoxocotlán and 7 in Huajuapan de León.
Other municipalities such as Tuxtepec and Huatulco presented five infections and 4 San Antonio de la Cal, Villa de Etla, Santa Lucía del Camino and Santo Domingo Tehuantepec.
