A couple was shot and killed on Raúl González Avenue, a few meters from the 30-bed hospital in Puerto Escondido. Police arrived at the scene.
The incident occurred around noon, when gunshots were reported on the aforementioned avenue, in front of the Ramírez Funeral Home, located in the Jardines neighborhood of this tourist destination.
State, Municipal, and Traffic Police officers responded to the scene and confirmed the deaths of a man and a woman. The area was cordoned off, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office was notified.
The victims’ identities are currently unknown, and authorities are conducting the corresponding investigation.
