This Tuesday morning, Puerto Escondido was once again the scene of the violence rocking various regions of Oaxaca. Law enforcement agencies responded to an emergency report after finding a man dead with gunshot wounds near the Aeropuerto neighborhood, a few meters from the Rapid Inn motel.
The victim remains unknown.
According to initial official reports, the victim is a male, who at the time of his discovery had gunshot wounds to various parts of his body.
So far, he has not been identified, nor are further details known about his age or possible residence.
Extensive police deployment in the area
Members of the San Pedro Mixtepec municipal police, as well as members of the National Guard and State Police, were at the scene.
In addition, authorities cordoned off the area awaiting the arrival of the Regional Deputy Prosecutor’s Office for the Coast and state investigative agents. They will recover the body and open the corresponding investigation file.
