Therefore, he said that it is worth considering the development or traction of franchises, since the state is one of the ones that grew the most economically in 2023 by registering 13.1 percent, followed by Tabasco who registered 11.5 percent

Oaxaca, although it is a total population of just over four million inhabitants, we have several municipalities to mention with more than 100 thousand inhabitants, where it is interesting for the attraction of franchises such as Oaxaca de Juárez, San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec, Juchitán de Zaragoza and Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán”, he said.

The also director and founder of “Feher Consulting”, said that five important areas were detected to take advantage of to generate this type of business, which are based on food and beverages.

That is, the products that are generated here could reach other places in the country and abroad.

Locally, he said that in the service sector there is a great growth especially in businesses such as laundries, tailors, as well as children’s services, education and entertainment topics.

Followed by wellness businesses such as pharmacies, laboratories among others and that are aimed at the local and tourist sector; in addition to retail and social impact.

He acknowledged that although here in Oaxaca, not many are convinced of this business scheme, he said that it has a high percentage of success and 7 out of 10 franchised units after five years of life, “are still alive”.

The sector in 2023 grew more than 10 percent and it is estimated that this year will not be the exception and that it will maintain the double, in addition to the contribution of the franchise sector to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), it remains at 5%, thanks to the economic spill that the 1,600 brands that contribute 95 thousand points of sale and more than one million direct jobs leave.
