The puppet Amal will visit the city of Oaxaca

The city council of the city of Oaxaca announced the visit of the puppet Amal, after touring 14 countries and four states of the Mexican Republic.

At the press conference, the Secretary of Tourism Development, Ángel Soriano Morales announced that the puppet is 3.6 meters high and is a representation of refugee children.

He said that the visit will be on November 22 and 23 and he will meet with children from Oaxacan communities and children in shelters.

In addition, she will participate in a calendar on November 23.

What Amal represents is the symbol of human rights, especially of children, it is a message of peace, hope and solidarity towards thousands of people displaced by violence, war and persecution, he said.

The activities that she will have in Oaxaca will be the following: on November 22 she will visit the archaeological site of Monte Albán, a visit closed to the public.

In the afternoon, at 4 pm, she will have a reception full of music for the girls and boys of the Central de Abasto Symphony Orchestra and Choir.

On November 23, she will take part in a great celebration that will welcome her to the City of Oaxaca de Juárez: at 10 o’clock, she will leave the esplanade of the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.

In the calendar she will travel through the streets Macedonio Alcalá, Morelos, García Vigil, to reach Alameda de León.
