Inhabitants of the northern highlands of the state were surprised by the weather, since they assure that on these dates the temperatures oscillate between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius.

A strong hailstorm, caused by a low-pressure channel, together with the entrance of moisture from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, caused the fall of hail yesterday afternoon in the municipality of Santa Catarina Ixtepeji, in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca.

The unusual spectacle a few days before the arrival of spring led motorists and residents to take photographs, and share them on social networks.

The pine and oak forest covered by patches of white hail captivated Internet users, who did not expect this landscape, when temperatures in different areas of the state range between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius.

According to the meteorological report of the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) for this Sunday, showers are expected in Oaxaca, Puebla, Chipas and Veracruz generated by low pressure channels and the entry of humidity from both oceans.
