A strong fire broke out on Tuesday, June 7th, in at least 10 businesses located in front of the sea in Zipolite detail Oaxacan authorities.
The incident was confirmed by Saymi Pineda, municipal president of Pochutla, who through her social networks enlisted the help of pipes to put out the fire at this famous nudist destination which was spreading to other businesses.
David Rodríguez, a police officer and highest authority in the community, reported that the incident began due to a short circuit in one of the premises located in the Roca Blanca area to later spread to the palapas that surround it.
The response of the citizens and the pipes that were supplying water to the population was rapid, suffocating the fire by 80% in a short period of time.
One of the businesses where the fire started is the Naked hotel, one of the most famous in Zipolite for promoting nudism.
“The fire reached ten businesses that are facing the sea, the fire spread quickly but with the water pipes we had to wet the rest of the palapas that surround the affected area so that they do not burn.” the agent reported.
