Oaxaca Zipolite beach and two of its hotels were winners in three categories of the LGBT+ Travel Awards Mexico of the Collection of Destinations and Inclusive Companies AC (UNET LGBT+).
Zipolite was the winning destination in the Best Fashion Destination of the Year category, while the Hotel Casa de Siete Balcones was selected as Best LGBT+ Product of the Year; For its part, the Naked hotel was awarded Best Concept Hotel of the Year.
“Hotels, resorts, entrepreneurs, properties, institutions, tourism companies, airlines, and organizations make up the lists of nominations determined by a group of LGBT+ tourism experts through technical evaluations and mystery shoppers,” reported the state Tourism Secretariat (Sectur Oaxaca) in a statement.
According to the information, the entity was nominated in seven of the 16 categories of this award that recognize the best of the Mexican tourism industry with practices of inclusion and non-discrimination.
The winning companies and destinations are determined with the results of a public vote through social networks and with the final technical qualifications.
The awards will be presented in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in February, with the presence of the Secretary of Tourism of the nominated states, leaders of national and international companies and the specialized press.
UNET LGBT+ is a Mexican non-profit association expert in the development, creation, design of tourism products and experiences aimed at the LGBT+ community; offers its associates a wide range of services and best practices for brand positioning, destination representation, product sales, and tourism services.
