If you still don’t have plans for this upcoming May Day weekend, come and enjoy the Michelada Fair, which will be held in Oaxaca City.
The warm weather and sunny days have already arrived, so how about spending the weekend enjoying a refreshing drink, live music, and the best of local cuisine with your family? The 2026 Michelada Fair is the ideal event to enjoy a day off and celebrate Labor Day at an event that takes the art of making micheladas to another level.
When is the 2026 Michelada Fair?
The 5th annual Michelada Fair will take place from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd at the Cancha de los Conos (Cone Court), located in the Cinco Señores neighborhood of Oaxaca de Juárez.
The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to midnight.
What will be at the Michelada Fair?
At this fair, you can sample more than 150 flavors of micheladas, as well as a wide variety of typical Oaxacan drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, such as pulque from the Mixteca region, craft beer, aguas frescas, tejate, and the famous chingorolos from the Isthmus.
The event is designed for the whole family to enjoy, so you can also bring your little ones to enjoy artisanal ice cream, snacks, pizzas, tlayudas, and other typical treats.
The atmosphere will be enlivened with musical performances by local singers and groups, and on May 1st, a children’s show will take place as part of the Children’s Day celebrations.
How much does admission cost?
Admission is 50 pesos per person, while children and senior citizens enter free.
This event has been organized for the past five years by local authorities and merchants of Cinco Señores, with the goal of raising funds for the Day of the Dead celebrations and, at the same time, boosting local businesses.
