Government of Oaxaca promotes development on the Coast with new road infrastructure in San Agustín Chayuco

With an investment of close to 4 million pesos, it improves the mobility and safety of 4 thousand inhabitants

Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax., February 14, 2026.– To transform mobility and dignify public spaces in the Coast region, the State Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure and Communications (SIC), concluded the comprehensive paving of Flores Magón Street in the community of San Cristóbal. Municipality of San Agustín Chayuco.

The works, which required an investment of 3,998,233 pesos, consisted of the application of hydraulic concrete in more than 2,000 square meters of surface.

The head of the SIC, Carlos Vichido Hernández, stressed that this work not only improves vehicular traffic but also prioritizes pedestrians with the construction of 1,228 square meters of sidewalks and garages, directly benefiting more than 4,000 inhabitants.

To guarantee road safety, the work included high-visibility horizontal and vertical signage. With these actions, the Government of Oaxaca brings well-being and development to the eight regions of the state through quality urban infrastructure.
