State and municipal security forces managed to rescue a 14-year-old girl who was forced into prostitution, and arrested the minor’s aunt, who was accused of the crime of human trafficking.
The victim had requested police support, since she was being mistreated and deprived of her freedom, so an anonymous call alerted her of the place where she was and she was rescued.
In the police report, already in the possession of the Attorney General’s Office, it is specified that a woman identified as Alicia C.A.C., was accused of her responsibility in the crime of corruption of minors and human trafficking, since she was in charge of forcing the victim into prostitution.
According to the criminal case, the 14-year-old girl was taken to a bar, located in the municipality of Santa Lucía del Camino, where she was forced to work offering companionship services for the clients of the place.
It is reported that, after the police raid, the victim is now under the guardianship of the State DIF in the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office and the accused was placed at the disposition of the court, which required her for criminal proceedings.
After the evidence provided by the Oaxaca Prosecutor’s Office, the Trial Court issued a guilty verdict against Alicia C.A.C., for the crime of corruption of minors or persons who do not have the capacity to understand the meaning of the aggravated act. The hearing for the reading of the sentence and the payment for damages is still pending.
