In Oaxaca, authorities rescued 25 migrants who were deprived of their freedom

The migrants were found in a hotel in Juchitán de Zaragoza, the Prosecutor’s Office reported.

A total of 25 migrants of different nationalities were rescued by the authorities of Oaxaca after having been deprived of their freedom in the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO), announced through a statement published on November 26 that the discovery took place in the establishment ‘Hotel del Tec’, located in Juchitán de Zaragoza.

A total of 25 migrants of different nationalities were rescued by the authorities of Oaxaca after having been deprived of their freedom in the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO) announced through a statement published on November 26 that the discovery took place at the Hotel del Tec, located in Juchitán de Zaragoza.

“Information was gathered on the possible kidnapping of a person, a fact that when investigated allowed the location and release of 25 migrants of different nationalities who were deprived of their freedom in the place known as ‘Hotel del Tec’.”

“Therefore, the Oaxaca Attorney General’s Office, together with elements of the State Investigation Agency, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Navy, the National Guard, and the State Police of the Ministry of Public Security and Citizen Protection, deployed an operation that allowed the rescue of the migrants and secured the property in which they were being held.”

The report details that this action was part of the ‘operational deployment that has been carried out in recent days in the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.’
