According to the Toby Foundation, the professor tied the dog up with sticks and a rope, threw her puppies in the trash and then disappeared them.
Through social networks, the Toby Foundation shared a series of videos showing the mistreatment suffered by a dog and her offspring by the alleged director of a secondary school in Juchitán, Oaxaca.
In the complaint, the association points out that Santiago Herrera, the alleged director of the “Heliodoro Chari Castro” secondary school, beat and tied a dog to a rope, threw her puppies in the trash and then disappeared them.
“What is the use of talking about animal welfare in SEP books if teachers do that and in front of students,” the foundation wrote.
In addition, it informed that the corresponding complaint would be filed.
In the images, the dog is observed tied with a rope around her neck while she is pulled by the teacher before the eyes of many students, who only follow the teacher.
In another recording, a group of students is seen around a trash can. Inside, two puppies are seen trying to get out of it, while a third is carried by the students.
A third recording shows two men freeing the dog to, apparently, put her in a truck.
The videos caused outrage among users of social networks, where they demanded the dismissal of the director and the intervention of the Government of Oaxaca to investigate the incident and punish those responsible.
“I don’t know who this guy is, but we demand his dismissal, that he not get a job anywhere for this bastard”, “and are the students in those hands? That explains a lot of things”, “At least it was recorded, I hope the authorities get to work” and “jail for that damn animal abuse”, were some of the comments.
