Benjamin Gamond’s brother confirmed that the heart of the 23-year-old Argentine will stay in Mexico.
The family of the Argentine tourist hacked to death in the Lagunas de Chacahua, Oaxaca, decided to donate the organs of Benjamín Gamond.
Conde Gómez, mayor of the Villa de Tultepec municipality, Oaxaca, specified that the heart of the 23-year-old Argentine would stay in Mexico, specifically on the Oaxacan coast.
This was confirmed to him by one of Benjamin’s brothers with whom he has been in contact to offer his support to the family and manage to transfer the young man’s remains to Argentina.
We have been in a lot of contact with his brother, in all the support for the transfer to his country of origin and they also decided to donate organs, his brother even tells me and that also something that also makes us very sad, to say that his heart stays in Mexico and stays on the Oaxacan coasts,” said the municipal president of Villa de Tututepec.
For his part, Facu Gamond, Benjamin’s brother, published through his Instagram account a video where the last tour he took with his brother can be seen, in which he accompanied him to the moment in which they would perform the extraction of organs.
In the video it is also possible to appreciate the medical and nursing staff who accompany the bed where Benjamin is transferred.
