Ricardo Mejía Hernández, the king of the mountains, and Luis Alberto Espíndola Zarazúa, leader of the Acá Entre Runners project and Los Cobardes Team, organize a mountain event on October 3 in San Mateo Xoloc; Tepotzotlán, State of Mexico, in three distances: 5, 10 and 21 kilometers.
The cost of the race is 200 pesos in any distance. This low-cost marathon is special since the funds raised will be used to pay for a series of altruistic activities in Mixtec Oaxaca.
This 2021, two days of community support will be held, one in Santiago Ihuitlán Plumas, Oaxaca, and another in the town of La Mexicana where the services will be performed: dental extractions, prophylaxis, haircuts, eye examinations, as well as a gift of glasses, blankets, and toys.
It should be noted that last year, despite the onslaught of the pandemic, with the support of the Mejía Tapia family and great friends who joined the cause, they met at the municipal agency “La Mexicana”, near Ihuitlán Plumas in the Oaxacan Mixtec to bring medical services to this town.
They were joined by the Oaxacan community Rubén “Sensei” Toledo, Sofy Monroy and Ita Pérez, director of the Rotary Club Binniza Oaxaca, among others.
Finally, the organizers extend the invitation to the Oaxacan athletic community to join this cause and participate in the competition virtually.
You can contact the Facebook network here Aca Entre Runners. The participation medals will be delivered personally by the organizers during their visit to our state.
