These are the ‘long weekends’ and holidays for the next SEP school year

The next school year includes three long weekend holidays and three vacation periods.

The definitive calendar for the next school year, presented by the Secretary of Public Education (SEP), Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, has three long bridges, five short bridges and three vacation periods.

This school year will have 190 effective days of classes, will begin on August 24 and end on July 9, 2021, according to what was reported by the federal official.

Long weekend holidays

-From November 13 to 16 on the occasion of the commemoration of the Mexican Revolution and because on the 13th the teachers will perform the administrative discharge.

-From March 12 to 15, 2021 due to the Birth of Benito Juárez and administrative discharge.

-From June 25 to 28, due to the fact that the School Technical Council Meeting and the administrative discharge take place on those dates before the delivery of the ballots.

Short weekend holidays

-2, 3 and 4 October due to the fact that on Friday 2 there will be Technical Advice and no classes will be taught.

-11, 12 and December 13.- Moctezuma Barragán said that on Friday the 11th the magisterium will be given to “have time for the administrative discharge.”

-30 and 31 of January and 1 of February because the first day of that month there will be no classes for Constitution Day.

-From February 19 to 21 because on the 19th there is a school technical council.

-21, 22 and 23 May because on Friday May 21 the School Technical Council will be held.

Holidays

-End of the year: They will begin on December 21, 2020 to conclude on January 10, 2021 and restart classes on the 11th of that same year.

-Holy Week: They will begin on March 29, 2021 and will conclude on April 9 of that same year.

-End of school year: The calendar only contemplates July 9 to July 31, 2021, although it would be until the educational authority announces the new school year when the end of these holidays is known.

Holidays days

-September 16.- Holiday for Independence Day.

November -2.- There will be no work in schools for the Day of the Dead.

-November 16.- There will be no classes for the holiday of November 20, for the Day of the Mexican Revolution, which runs a Monday before.

February -1.- There will be no classes for the holiday of February 5 Anniversary of the Constitution.

-March 15.- Rest day for the holiday of March 21 for the Birth of Benito Juárez.

-May 5.- There are no classes for the commemoration of the Battle of Puebla
