This Monday departmental stores such as Chedrahui, located in the Santa Cruz Huatulco agency, again suspended the sale of alcoholic beverages, due to provisions by the municipal authorities.

It should be noted that which was on May 18, when the dry law was partially suspended, allowing the sale of alcohol on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, however, such reopening caused crowding of people in stores, so the Authorities made the decision to suspend the sale of these products again throughout the municipality.

In an interview for Enlace de la Costa, the Regidora de Comercio of the municipality of Santa María Huatulco, Jessica García, commented that this suspension is due to the regrettable behavior of citizens, since during the purchases of alcoholic beverages they did not respect sanitary protocols such as healthy distance and the use of face mask, which are essential in this health emergency for the Covid-19.
